- Smash and Seek: The fun starts with smashing the giant reusable Egg Shell, leading to the next layers of exploration.
- Excavate & Explore: Kids use the included tools and the Arctic Scratch Map to guide them as they dig through different icy compounds. These compounds often include:
- Collectibles: The egg also includes six mini, smashable eggs, each housing its own tiny collectible Ice Age creature. The included Smash Egg Rebuilder allows kids to reassemble and re-smash the mini eggs for endless fun.
- Build Your Beast: Once all the frozen dino pieces are excavated from the various compounds, children follow the instructions to piece together one of the exclusive Ice Age giants (such as the T-Rex or Woolly Mammoth).
- Lights and Roars: The finished dinosaur figure comes to life with realistic roaring sound effects and light-up features (often in the eyes or chest), adding a dynamic element to playtime.
- Collect Them All: There are usually 2 or 3 distinct Mega Dinosaurs to collect in the series, encouraging repeat purchases for dedicated Smashers fans.
